The task of crafting a future we desire involves collaborative efforts, innovative thinking, and a shared vision for a better tomorrow where every individual has the opportunity to thrive and contribute to the greater good. It will require raising a generation of leaders who embody empathy, integrity, and a deep understanding of the complex challenges we face, and who are equipped to drive positive change and shape a brighter future for us all.

It was His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III’s pleasure to attend the ongoing 2025 Lagos Leadership Summit organized by the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy, an institution committed to raising this new generation of leaders.
In an event hosted by the Executive Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency Governor Babajide Sanwoolu, His Majesty joined other royal fathers - His Royal Majesty Oba Abdulwasiu Omogbolahan Lawal, Abisogun II, the Oniru of Iruland, and His Highness Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, the Emir of Zazzau on a round table to discuss ‘Uniting Tradition and Youth for Nation-Building.’

The discussion underscored the importance of bridging the intergenerational gap, highlighting the invaluable wisdom that traditional institutions bring along with cultural heritage and experience, while the youth contribute innovative ideas, energy, and passion.
As the Summit continues today, His Majesty commends the organizers and encourages that more individuals and organizations take up this noble cause aimed at fostering collaborative leadership, empowering youth, and driving transformative change to build a more prosperous and equitable society for all.
