Yesterday marked a truly momentous occasion in the Warri Kingdom, a day brimming with festivities of profound significance.
His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, The Olu of Warri, presided over the installation of new Ojoye (Chiefs) during the 16th edition of Ghigho Aghofen, the ceremonial Change of Palace Watch.
In an occasion attended by esteemed Royal Fathers, Government officials, distinguished guests and sons and daughters of the Warri kingdom, the enduring spirit of harmony and inclusiveness was evident as the chieftaincy conferments unfolded in two phases: the elevation of exemplary sons of Iwere land to becoming Ojoyes, followed by the induction of a fresh cadre of Ambassage Chiefs, distinguished individuals from diverse non-Itsekiri tribes who call Warri home and have tirelessly advanced its prosperity.
