As part of activities marking the 5th Coronation Anniversary, the Royal Iwẹrẹ Foundation, the humanitarian arm of the Warri Kingdom Monarchy, in partnership with recipients of the Royal Order of Iwẹrẹ (ROI), organised the Itsẹkiri Development Forum, a strategic platform for dialogue, ideas, and collective action towards the sustainable development of Warri Kingdom.
Under the theme, “Beyond Oil: Investing in the Future of Warri Kingdom,” the Forum brought together stakeholders, thought leaders, development partners, and members of the global Itsẹkiri diaspora, under the auspices of Itsẹkiri Global Homecoming, to examine new pathways for investment, enterprise, human capital development, and sustainable growth.
At the heart of the Forum were two major milestones. First was the official launch of the I Am Itsẹkiri mobile application, a digital village created to connect Itsẹkiris at home and abroad, as well as friends of Itsẹkiri, fostering stronger bonds, collaboration, and shared identity.
This was followed by the presentation of the Warri Kingdom Investment & Development Report, a forward-looking framework designed to highlight investment opportunities, stimulate enterprise, encourage strategic partnerships, and inspire meaningful interventions that can unlock the Kingdom’s vast potential.
The well-attended Forum concluded with His Majesty renewing his call for investors, development partners, and other stakeholders who share in the vision for a prosperous Warri Kingdom to come forward and join hands in unlocking the immense value and wealth that remain largely untapped, with a view to building a diversified, resilient, and inclusive economy that creates opportunities for our people, empowers the next generation, and lays the foundation for a future of shared prosperity, sustainable development, and enduring progress for Warri Kingdom.
